Couple shots of the window painting I finished up at @ronblackswp before escaping to France and disappearing from the internet. As I've said a thousand times, freakin love working with Ron Blacks - they're cool people who let me do cool things. What more could I ask for?

One of my favorites from our @openingsny show, The Lovely Wild. This is one of the large-scale "image-stacked" panorama photographs by @julianne.nash - part of a pair of images that contend with death and loss with such an interesting mix of familiarity and unattainability. I'm reminded of the work I was doing in each aftermath of death, where every subject or object became a kind of landscape, totally imbued with that one's personality and history. Though it's been said plenty of times, Art really does become a series of places that we visit, and can only really get to willingly, always returning differently to it and finding it different once others have also passed through. Thankful for the fact that great art is always being made, and I have access to it. Hope to see you at our Opening reception this Thursday 7-9 pm

The show I co-curated with @fpsabatte for @openingsny is now up on view at the Church of St Paul the Apostle, come by the opening reception this Thurs (7-9)! The live organ performance by @danielficarri of a piece composed specifically for our show by Juilliard graduate Anne Qian Wang starts at 8 pm. This show is deep, dark, and if I don't say so myself...quite lovely. .

Taking a break from Instagram for a while, I got serious FOMO about my own life, bro - my own life, can you imagine? So here's a dinky, admittedly bitter parting "poem" until my return:

Instagram makes me feel so small,
Like I've never had a real call,
I give it many good tries,
Everybody says - consistency really is the way to rise.
Even this has taken too long,
How many breaths were wasted by this clawing to belong?
Can't do anything half-way, and I know whose DNA that is,
But you know what torture IG soon becomes with his?
I know content is partly to blame, my little scraps and overall sound.
Sometimes it's just I want to post pictures of @b.adrover 's big wet eyes
Under which hashtag can his audience be found?
In the meantime I'll run myself all over France - under the big wet eyes,
Maybe someday I'll see the real Lascaux caves - the conserved scraps of a living art that can Baptize.
There's my little bit.
