The unnamable central core may be all-consuming like a bottomless void, may be encompassing and cradle all within its galaxy, or it may press forward as an utterly subduing gaze. Voluntary imagines a person as a place—a swirling, uninterrupted presence, where experiences feel entirely singular. But there are, of course, Mercurian kisses, slow-dancing in Jupiterian skies, and quiet phone calls all-Neptune-night-long. While we consider the ground and stars forever stable and unchanging, each galaxy itself is an on-going result of reaction—all things in motion.
